- A division of the Rocky Mount Parks and Recreation Department, the
Sports Complex provides facilities for a host of recreational programs
- baseball, softball, soccer, football, and other field sports and is
one of the largest sports complexes on the entire eastern seaboard.The
complex serves as the site for local, state, and national sporting events.
Operating ten months of the year, with two months allotted for general
maintenance and upkeep, the fields will be used during weekdays for
city programs and local leagues, reserving the weekends for tournament
action. There is sure to be serious competition with teams playing from
all over the country.
- This is a first-class facility featuring six youth fields, four softball/multipurpose
fields, a championship baseball field, eight soccer/multipurpose playing
fields for football, lacrosse, field hockey, ultimate Frisbee, and other
field sports. Fifteen of the fields are fully irrigated and feature
Musco lighting for night play. The complex also includes two regulation
basketball courts, two concession buildings, two large restroom areas,
four meeting/umpire rooms, and a staffed maintenance room, plus over
600 paved parking spaces. Need we say more?
