- Go around the world in a day? Acquire a genuine understanding and appreciation of various cultures in a matter of minutes? All of this and more are possible at the International Festival of Cultures. A vast array of displays, entertainment, food tasting and an international bazaar create a high-spirited atmosphere for cultural exchanges. The festival is held at Nash Community College.

- Living History Weekend at Stonewall Manor
- (Late April)
- A Civil War era re-creation on the grounds of this historic home. A recreation of a period camp site, costumes, the firing of an authentic cannon and ceremonial drills to fill out the day.
- Nashville Blooming Festival
- (May)
- A weekend of fun and casual entertainment featuring unique crafts, live music, great food, and children's rides and activities. Sponsored by the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and held in front of the courthouse on Washington Street.

- Summer
- Annual Independence Celebration at Rocky Mount Stadium
- (July 3rd)
- Gather the kids, spread the blankets and watch as we strike up the band for the area's largest Independence Celebration.
- Annual July 4th Celebration
- (July 4th)
- Travel just 15 minutes west to NC 58 N. to this quaint Nash County community for the best in old-fashioned food, entertainment, parades and plenty of fireworks.
- Fall
- R. Sullivan Fisher Farm
- (September through November)
- The Fisher family opens its doors to visitors to view "fruits" of the fall harvest including pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, wheat straw and fall squash. Children can see various farm animals. School groups welcome. Located on Highway 43 in Red Oak, two miles West of Interstate 95.
- Rocky Mount Fair
- (September)
- It's the area's largest, fun-filled carnival with dozens of rides, exhibits and great food. From tilt-a-whirls to racing pigs, it's a day or night of fun for all ages.
- Annual Chamber Business Expo
- (October)
- Hundreds of business and industry representatives gather for this annual event to share the latest in technical advances and merchandise.
- Spring Hope Pumpkin Festival

- When there's a nip in the air and frost on the ground, you know it's time for this annual event. Parades, great food and plenty of festivities highlight this fall harvest event.
- Fall Gospel Classic
- (October)
- Gospel music performed by artists from throughout the world is the highlight of this three day event. Luther Barnes, nationally known performer, uses his many talents to keynote this event.

- Down East Festival
- (2nd Saturday, October)
- Thousands gather each year for this event that features live music, dance, crafts and down home cookin'. Festivities open with live entertainment and the Eastern Carolina BBQ Throw Down sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society.
